The main SECRET of Perfect French Pancakes is to mix all the ingredients correctly!
Hey there, today I’ve got a fantastic old-school recipe for French pancakes that’s sure to impress. Start by combining 8 ounces (225 grams) of all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Make a little well in the mix, then crack in 3 eggs.
Now comes the secret: slowly add 17 fluid ounces (500 ml) of warm milk, whisking gently as you go. It’s crucial to pour the milk gradually to avoid any lumps in the batter. Once half the milk’s in, whisk it all together, then pour in the rest.
Next, melt 3 tablespoons of butter and add that to the batter along with a hint of vanilla. Keep whisking until everything’s smooth.
When your batter’s lump-free and beautiful, heat up the skillet and pour in just enough to make a thin pancake. Once it’s matte on one side, flip it for another 30 seconds or so.
These pancakes are incredible for stuffing with all sorts of goodness—meat, cheese, you name it!

Hello friends, today I will make perfect French pancakes using a very old recipe. The main SECRET of Perfect French Pancakes is to mix all the ingredients correctly! I am sure you will also love this cooking method and will make these pancakes very often.
Add 8 ounces (225 grams) of all-purpose flour to a bowl. Also add 3 tablespoons of sugar (40 grams) and a pinch of salt. Mix well and create a small well in the flour. Crack 3 eggs.
I would be pleased to know from which city you are watching my video! 😍 Write to me in the comments! 👍 Friends, I’d be happy if you could give this video a like as it’s the best reward from you. For the recipe, you’ll need 17 fluid ounces of warm milk (500 ml).
Start gently whisking the eggs and gradually pour in the milk. It’s very important not to pour the milk all at once but to add it gradually. This way, when you stir the thick mixture, you won’t get any floury lumps.
Finally, add half of the milk and mix well with a whisk; pour in the remaining milk a little later. 🤗 If you like my content, please subscribe to my YouTube channel “Fast & Easy Recipes” and get notified about new recipes like this. Melt 3 tablespoons butter in the microwave (40 grams).
Pour melted butter into the pancake dough and continue whisking. Now add the secret ingredient: 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla or 2 tablespoons of liquid vanilla extract. Now it’s time to pour all the remaining milk.
As you can see, we mixed the batter without a mixer, using only a whisk, and look at how smooth, uniform, and free of flour lumps it is. Heat the skillet and pour enough batter to make a thin pancake.
For example, if my skillet is 9 inches (22 cm) in diameter, I’ll need slightly less than a full ladle of batter for one pancake. Since we added melted butter to the batter, there’s no need to grease the pan additionally; the pancakes won’t stick.
But I still recommend using a pancake pan with a ceramic non-stick coating; with that, any food never sticks. When the pancake on the pan becomes matte, it’s time to flip it. We fry it for another 30 seconds and then remove it from the heat.
I’m just thrilled with this recipe; the pancakes turn out thin and soft. These pancakes are great for stuffing with either meat or cheese. Despite being thin, they are elastic and hold the filling well inside. Try making them – I’m sure this is the perfect French pancake recipe you’ve been looking for!

Great easy recipe. Like the idea of adding the melted butter to the batter. That way there’s no oily smell in the kitchen when you fry the batter. I’m in Manchester UK!
