Sailing on a cruise ship usually means going on an adventure and for a big foodie like me that Adventure is always culinary I just came back from a 7-Day cruise on a beautiful celebrity ascent and today I’m going to make you an expert at everything food related on your next Celebrity Cruise whether

You’re new to cruising or a seasoned Pro celebrity Ascend has a ton of dining options let’s dive into each one of them so you don’t have to waste time on your next Cruise vacation I really like the main dining room concept on Celebrity Edge class series of cruise ships it’s

Very different from the norm and can even be confusing for first timers the main dining room is split into four restaurants spread across the AFT of deck three and four on the celebrity Ascent they are all complimentary to guests and serve dinner nightly each of these restaurants has their own unique

Flavor Decor staff and location Cosmopolitan serves American style food Cyprus is themed after Greek cuisine Tuscan is Italian and Normandy is French the main dining rooms on the ascent exceeded my expectations every dish rated a 9 out of 10 or above the quality presentation and taste were outstanding

The menus were vibrant with excellent choices portions were perfect spot- on plating and the service was impeccable don’t miss out the last formal night for a very special menu where they’re going to serve lobster Beef Wellington Baked Alaska and so on for more details check out my full main dining room review

Linked above and by the way if you’re enjoying these types of videos I make them weekly so make sure to subscribe and hit the notification Bell so you don’t miss out on my latest content now the buffet is called Ocean View cafe and is located on Deck 12 of your cruise

Ship with an extensive selection ranging from Italian to Asian to American there’s something to satisfy most people it’s convenient operates without a dress code and offers unique options and even nightly specials the buffet covers breakfast lunch dinner and even late night snacks making it ideal for a quick

And casual meal the buffet is definitely your best choice for breakfast unless of course you have options to go to Lumin or blue more about both of of those in just a little bit now lunch and dinner at the buffet can be very similar but offer a decent selection of food that’s

Quick and available to all passengers I would rate the buffet at around a s or maybe an 8 out of 10 if you’re not a picky eater now if you want an in-depth look at the buffet on this cruise ship I’ll link you a video above that covers

Every single thing you need to know now if you want a smaller meal consider Spa Cafe for healthy choices like fresh juices peanut butter and banana Bagels tuna salads or even eeden Cafe for Soups sandwiches custom salads and a variety of desserts both of them are open for

Breakfast and lunch food is free to everyone but all of the juices at spa Cafe and some of the sandwiches at Eden Cafe will cost you extra if you’re in a mood for a burger or a hot dog head to massed grill offering a decent burger selection Cris fries and even some

Stunning views now if you wanted a coffee tea or a small snack Cafe albao that’s located in the Grand Plaza is a great choice all of the desserts are free while coffees and teas will cost you extra if you’re planning on drinking a lot of coffees teas or even those spa

Cafe juices consider getting the non-alcoholic drink package it offers unlimited non-alcoholic drinks including what we just talked about for a daily price I made an entire video breaking down the drink packages on Celebrity Cruises I will link it for you above if you wanted to know more by the way ice cream is

Located at the buffet and is free to everyone now let’s talk about restaurants that will cost you extra money let’s start with laage located on the celebrity Beyond and celebrity Ascent only this restaurant is the Pinnacle of French dining created by aichel and star Chef Danielle Baloo this restaurant features World inspired

French dishes that will blow your mind it costs $75 per head and books up very quickly so it’s definitely a must visit for Foodies it’s worth noting that Danielle belud also created menus for Lumin Retreat restaurant for sweet guests which we will discuss in just a moment Eden restaurant is another gem

You can visit this place on any Edge class seral of cruise ships and the ascent is no different this restaurant is rooted in nature it draws inspiration from every region of the world it features an open kitchen that allows you to watch the head chef and their team of

Culinary experts prepare your meal this place is perfect in every single way and a must visit if you’re cruising on one of these ships rooftop grill is a good option if you want to enjoy dining in the sky next in the back of the rooftop garden it offers fet Mion Wings briskets

Sliders flatbread pizzas and more the Woodfire Grill offers a unique taste with higher Quality Meats than the main dining room overall I rate this place at about an 8 out of 10 it’s above the main dining room but definitely below laage Eden and laati Chef fine God steakhouse offers a classic Steakhouse experience

Your Meats will be be expertly prepared and paired with your choice of size I usually rate this place at about an 8 out of 10 out stay maybe a little bit lower depending on how picky you are the meats are always perfect but the sides are a little Bland and the desserts are

A bit lacking overall it’s in the same level I’d say as a rooftop grill a raw on five is located right across fine cut Steakhouse in the center of your ship it offers a variety of Asian Cuisine including sushi Sashimi soups salads and some other seafood dishes this place is

A good spot if you’re craving Seafood however it is considered alak cart which means that you have to pay for everything you order with so many other choices I always end up skipping this place most people would rate it a little above average I would say leati Chef is

A one-of-a-kind dining experience that combines technology and culinary expertise to bring your food to life with the use of 3D animations your plate comes to life with tiny characters that tell the story of your dish each course is then delivered to you in real life

It’s like a show in a dinner at the same time it’s quite impressive and the food is really good I give this place a nine out of 10 only because the menu is fixed so essentially it’s four courses with one substitute for each course if needed

So eight items on the entire menu keep this in mind when booking you might want to check the menus before you go to this restaurant now for reference latit Chef has restaurants all over the world one of them is right here in New York City and cost hundreds of dollars per person

So taking advantage of it on your cruise could be a good idea I rate this place at about a 9 out of 10 now one of my favorite things about leopard Chef is that on every EDG Glass series of cruise ships for lunch this place turns into a completely different restaurant called

Listro I consider this place one of the best values for your money it’s open for lunch every day of your cruise it costs $35 per person and has a rotating daily specials fantastic appetizers Ms sandwiches meat and cheeseboards and even French desserts this place also has an actual French Press espresso machine

So all of you cost lovers make sure to try that I absolutely love this place in fact I give it a perfect 10 out of 10 especially considering it’s only $35 per person so have a big lunch and a lighter dinner to save yourself some cash remember LR Bistro is open for lunch

Every day of your cruise including P days now Lumin is an exclusive restaurant available only to Sweet guests so you have to book a Retreat room if you want one access to this restaurant the menu was created by Danielle belud and it happens to be the top tier of dining on any Celebrity

Cruise ship Lumin is absolutely perfect the meals at this restaurant spoke to my soul seriously I can still remember what it tastes like this place is just as good if not better than laage and Eden it is however payb behind the Hefty price of a suite but if you have a

Choice this is the absolute best place 10 out of 10 I would not leave it and it also serves breakfast lunch and dinner I mean seriously if you have access to Lumin you just don’t even think about going anywhere else there’s nothing better than luminet blue is a restaurant

Exclusively available to Aqua class guests it offers a range of healthy and contemporary Cuisine made with fresh ingredients focused on clean eating and higher quality meals this place will elevate your dinner above the main dining room experience I have a full video showcasing what I ate at Blue and

My opinion about it if you’re interested I’ll link that for you above overall blue rates at about an eight or maybe a 9 out of 10 depending on how you feel about healthy meals as always if you have any questions make sure to drop them down below and I’ll do my best to

Answer thanks for watching see you in the next video

  1. The prices are outrageous IMHO.
$70 For a lunch is ridiculous.
We all know that Bistro $35 will soon be $40 per or more.
Celebrity is known to raise prices a few times a year.
On the Reflection I rated Blu at 6 or a very weak 7…for you to rate Blu that high, they must have changed the menu and portions got bigger…I ate from the MDR Menu 5 out of the 9 nights.
The Mast Grill, The burgers were no better then a supermarket burger…the hotdogs nothing was special about them.
I now have a cruise booked on Viking Ocean as well as Oceania….Viking was close to a Celebrity cruise fare…Oceania just about the same price. That should tell.you how much Celebrity has increased their fare..But also Extra charges are now showing up…Eden Lunch, everything use to be free, Not anymore…consider these extra charges such as eliminating tip to their all inclusive package also increases the fare…I don't see them putting the brakes on all these prices increase until people stop cruising with Celebrity…if people keep booking prices will keep raising until people say enough.

  2. Tom, are you sure that the Daniel Beloud restaurant is only $ 75 per person ?? PLEASE cCNFIRM. I am going March 31st on this ship.

  3. Thanks Tom! We really enjoyed your video. Outside of Blu, we're big fans of Eden and our nextfavorite is Rooftop Garden Grill!

  4. Thanks, Tom. Just back from Silhouette (solstice class). The food and service in Luminae and Murano were tops. Didn't eat anywhere else. Tuscan does not appeal to me at all even if it were included – a very weird mix of offerings that don't look well-executed. The Porch, Lawn Grill, and Sushi on 5 also did not interest us.

  5. Excellent video Tom, as usual. I have 2 cruises booked on the Ascent in sunset veranda on deck 9. My wife commented when you said free ice cream, and then showed the gelato. I really didn’t notice, but I know they charge you for that.
