Welcome to the Bayou share hello everyone welcome to Port Orleans French Quarter one of the four moderate Resorts here at Walt Disney World we are staying for just a few nights as we’re here for a short weekend St and we wanted to take you along with us and show you all there
Is to see here at Port Orleans um it’s nice it’s again the um port I guess Louisiana New Orleans style and so you see a lot of I guess that architecture um you can hear the music probably in the background um has a little bit of jazz to it um but it’s
Nice it’s a nice area it’s a nice resort like Brook said it’s a modern Resort so you have a lot of the I don’t know I think openness in my mind for guess this location Porto French Quarter is one of a two-part Resort that is Port Orleans
So there’s the French Quarter side and then there’s also Riverside Port Orleans Riverside which is the sister Resort they do share some amenities they each have their own pools though you can go back and forth and they each have restaurants the table service restaurant is going to be over at Riverside the
Quick Service there there are quick service on both sides um the beignet the Mickey shaped vget and as well as the glutenfree vget which are pretty awesome and have been consumed already and I’m sure there will be some worse consumed while we’re here um those are found here
At scats Lounge there’s also a jazz club inside which is quite fun if you’re into that and it I mean it you can’t escape the New Orleans field here so this resort was the original Port Orleans they renamed it Port Orleans French Quarter when they rename Riverside Riverside used to be called something
Dixie Landing you know they want to go there um and so they renamed it to make it a little more culturally appropriate and so that’s why it’s the two the other two U moderate Resorts would be your Caribbean Beach and your Coronado um Springs so much like those other two um
It is spread out however this is the least spread out so if you’re looking for something a little more compact a little less walking there’s no bus that takes you that has to take you around the resort so for the fact that everything is really centy located I do
Like this one better um you know nothing’s going to beat that uh cornado Springs Tower because that’s effectively um own little a deluxe Resort at a moderate price but the uh but that’s only for the tower the grand grand Destino Tower if you’re in one of
The original um Casitas or or the the original uh property within um Coronado Springs it’s going to be spread out as is Riverside as is Caribbean Beach um but you’re getting a you’re getting a nicer Hotel feel than the values you’re going to have um you know more food
Options here you’re never going to find a table service at a value restaurant the table service restaurant here is the boat RS it was delicious when I tell you they had gluten-free cornbread which was fantastic they also had regular cornbread which he liked which I think it’s the same cuz cornmeal itself is
Good andree I thought so no they put other things in it you can’t just not every cornbread is and your cornbread was very different than mine yours was that remember yours was like huge and I had the little ones okay yeah I think yeah you’re right it was he refective
Memory sorry about that folks the atmosphere at boat Rights was really cozy and comfortable and it was themed after boat making so there was a lot of that for folks that care about such things the allergy menu had a real lot of really great options I was able to
Get gluten-free french onion soup and I got the prime rib which was really delicious and they were really open to customizing things which I really appreciated this french onion soup was a cheese Lover’s Dream and they included a gluten-free bread so you got the traditional texture you would expect
From that for Adam starter he got the Migra fritters with the pimo cheese Adam told the waitress that he was really enjoying the the arugula on his dish and so she brought him an entire bowl of and then for our Entre Adam was able to get the shrimp and grits without the
Pork sausage and then I got the prime rib which isn’t something I usually order but I was in the mood for something different and it did not disappoint it boat right was delicious here you have the sagula um sagula I’ll write down the name but it’s the it’s
The quick service restaurant here um really nice offerings again a little more upscale than you’re going to get it about Resort so you are paying a little more but you’re getting a nicer feel right um we will take you know we we did a room tour of the room and we’ll show
That you show you that in a moment but it was a great stay and we really enjoyed it yeah it was nice so even though I think R side is probably the same U they’re probably little slightly different so we’ll not not the same what
Is he saying it’s not the same I don’t know he just says stuff he’s the color commentary I’m the info he’s the color com okay okay yes so but yeah but the good the location is very nice it is like more compact not spread out like some other Resorts like we talked about
Um Coronado which is like we do we do have room tour video on that you could probably throw a card up here somewhere to show you that one we did that um some time back last year sometime or I don’t know we went there so you’ll see the
Video of a room tour for that one um I think it’s one of our earlier videos too I think he had too many beet he’s a little sugar hyp Sor here so let’s take a look at that room we staying in a wheelchair accessible King room with tub at porer
Orleans’s French Quarter it reminds me a lot of Caribbean Beach even The Corner Room being accessible the floors are wood which is nice when you come in they have beads for you which is a cute little touchs if you’ve noticed are the table also the blinds don’t have
The grippy handles so it may be a little bit difficult to reach the blinds to close them without assistance of moving the table to the side and um doing it that way but we can get it done table’s not that heavy so it can be a side some
To actually get to the Windows to close the blinds is a beverage cooler yes 41 degrees that right there is not a smart TV so just be aware they have not upgraded the TVs in here the TV is in fact a smart TV side tables with a
Drawer we do have the new hey Disney and the tables have two outlets and two USBS one Outlet here is being taken by the US um the hey Disney standard phone king bed little Mickey towel to welcome you in pretty deep drawers which is nice coffee station because this is a
Moderate you’re not going to get a cure egg you’re going to get these pouchy kind um but you’re still getting the Disney um joffre’s Resort blend which is the remake of the joffre’s 50th Anniversary blend so if you like that you’re going to love this we have a wardrobe with both
Highish and low hang so knock yourself out there extra pills and blankets as well as an iron and there’s an ironing board off to the side here it is a uh sliding looks like to be a pocket door which is pretty typical in these rooms this art doesn’t have any kind of
Indication on what it is but I do see I me it’s definitely got a New Orleans Vibe there’s one of those steamboats I forget what they’re called and you can see I mean it kind of reminds me of New Orleans square and Disneyland or you know mixed with things that I’ve seen in
Actual New Orleans you have we have a table and two chairs now the beds are Hollow underneath so while you’re not getting a Hoyer under there cuz it’s pretty low you could ask for risers if you needed a Hoyer appears to be chair height if you need that to sleep huzzah there’s the
Ceiling pan here’s another piece of art this says invitation to the something ball p o e x ball in 18 87 music and drama now let’s head into the bathroom we have a typical accessible bathroom with a toilet and grab bars on either side on the back rather on the
Side safe in the wall standard Disney trash can roll under syn you’ll notice that the handles are a little under the mirror and so they are actually a little hard to reach for someone in a wheelchair so just be aware that of that it is a rolling shower room with little princess
In the Frog um notes there has the newly branded H2O but not not anymore H2O although that those bottles seems like seem better days you have a sh stand shower head as well as a wand and attach to the wall it didn’t even dump so that’s good
So it is built in nice and sturdy there are so this is raised and there’s a drain here so I’m feeling good about the flood prevention but of course as always I will report back future Brook here there were absolutely no floods this worked really well two levels
Of towels so got that going for you so what do you think of the room uh the room is nice um we have a corner room and so the Corner Room was nice you have Windows on like of course the corner because it’s The Corner Room um overall
Was pretty good I think it was as I would or we will probably stay here again so overall nice nice absolutely and as me Adam mentioned with this we’ve officially stayed at all four moderates now the uh Port orling Riverside it was just me and I was in a
Non-accessible room I was in one of the princess rooms however I do have footage in that video of the accessible options so you you you get a little bit of both in there um but so this is our this is our fourth moderate stay and we really
Enjoyed it the at atmosphere is nice here the vibe is very chill which is nice when you come back from a Rowdy Park day um the pools are really cute this one is more kidfriendly than Coronado um in that there’s more Disney when you come in so I I believe the vibe
Here is that you’re supposed to be visiting New Orleans um in Mar Girl season and so they give you beads when you come in and you you know it just it has that feel of party time right um the there’s really cute um stat statues all over the like
Alligators the alligators are really cute it’s fun fact the first time I came to Walt Disney World as a child we only came once right and I think I was around 12 so my sister would have been around 8 or 9 and the thing we remember most are
Those alligator statues they’re kind of institution at this point it’s a really great Hotel it’s got you know really close to everything so it’s bus transportation to all the parks however you also have a boat transportation to Disney Springs so in terms of like going out to eat we haven’t done that much
This trip because again it’s short but you know you can easily take the boat over to uh Disney Springs Disney Springs thank you and restaurants and shopping and all of that there it’s the it’s a lot over there um you also have can take that boat to Saratoga Springs or um Old
Key West so if you want to check out those Resorts or take advantage of the restaurants they have there the oliv the brunch at Olivia’s in Old Key West is quite good and and well known you had so you can you can check that out and it
The vibe there is also very chill because it’s further away from the parks um this is a little bit further from the parks you know so the bus ride is a little bit longer but I mean you’re taking you’re talking about like an extra 5 minutes um and by you know at
The end of the park day you’re exhausted the beginning of the park day your kids are hyper so it doesn’t matter right 5 minutes and 5 minutes um so it’s not that bad but it is it’s a great little stay and we really enjoyed it so if you

Oh man, I love your video and love the smallness of this resort. Y'all are right, the sidewalks are NOT wheelchair friendly, and I used the main walk way to the rooms. This is a really relaxing resort and not too many screaming kids when I stayed in Dec 2023 for 2 weeks. I did not get a wheelchair room when I stayed, but they help me out with stools and shower chair. They also gave me something easier to close the curtains when I am in my wheelchair. The door to get into the room was a NIGHTMARE because it was SUPER heavy and I had to do a running start to get into my room. Everything else was amazing, and I will still go back to this resort any day.
Probably my favorite of the Moderate resorts: so nice to have everything in easy walking distance. And a boat to Disney Springs!
We have booked at the same resort with an ADA room. Do they provide enough space for my electric mobile cart to be parked and charged in the room?
