London versus Paris round three food English Cuisine isn’t the most exciting to say the least unless you’re really into potatoes in all shapes and formats luckily London isn’t only about English cuisine in fact you can find national food from almost 90 countries here from Indian to Italian tii to Ethiopian

French cuisine is more diverse and sophisticated but Paris offers less diversity there are around 65 National Cuisines represented here but Paris has around 44,000 restaurants from street food joints to high-end cuisine whopping 118 of them have a Micheline star London has around 15,000 restaurants and 3,500 pubs with 74 Micheline star restaurants

So far we don’t have a clear winner but there’s one tiny argument that changes everything bread English bread is terrible French bread is not only better it’s also accessible there are more than 30,000 bakeries available in Paris alone this means no matter where you are in

The city a fresh baguette is only a few minutes away the score is 1 two the winner of this round is Paris

  1. French cuisine, is a fair representation of them as a nation. They eat things u find in ur back garden, like frogs and snails because they're scared of everthing else. Theyd be speaking german if it wasnt for english bread

  2. Michelin guide is bias and many 1 star restaurants in Paris serve very average French cuisine. Our Michelin awards are much more diverse. Also the brassieres in Paris serve very average food compared to most pubs here in London. However I agree London looses because we throw away much more food, bakeries / cheese mongers / fish mongers etc are lacking and we have leaned towards a more processed American style of conscience in our supermarkets. Paris is the winner for ingredients / produce. London is the winner for the variety of food on offer.

  3. Saying that English cuisine is not exciting and just about potatoes is not only a bit rude but, also shows you have not done much research into the subject.

  4. I agree, but the bread thing in London isn't true, there is great bread (not as good as Paris) but still great and the wonder bread you showed is not true, head to Gail's in london
