Join our intrepid history reporter, Tracey Tooley, on her case to uncover England’s most infamous monarch, King Henry VIII!
In this episode, Tracey learns about Henry VIII’s pursuits, interests and hobbies through his eclectic courtiers. We meet a bombastic pair of Tudor ‘lads’, Henry Norris and Francis Bryan, who introduce Tracey to Henry’s pastimes and festivals, not least the iconic ‘Field of the Cloth of Gold’. Tracey also meets Hampton Court Palace’s French clockmaker, Nicholas Oursian, with whom she shares an important revelation of her own!
Filmed on location at Hampton Court Palace, England. This series has been specifically designed as a school learning resource to support teachers and students studying Henry VIII and the Tudors as part of the England & Wales Key Stage Three syllabus.
