Decree laws on the 10th of January did not give in to the demands of the Catalan independent supporters as a result the seven MPS from J voted against the law which would have meant General forgiveness for those involved in the Catalan Independence process this is the second major defeat in 20 days

For Pedro Sanchez government so the demands from poge deont and Company too strong were they and the psoe party not giving in and that amnesty law not getting across the line so this means that if they’re going to get that amnesty law across the line they’re

Of Africa and they’re probably complaining about that as well but uh yeah that was another comment that we had yesterday as well somebody said they’re planning on moving back to Spain from the states and uh I might have said something to a detractor of that comment

Who basically said to stay in the USA don’t come to Spain I think what that was that person’s words and I rate Spaniard who doesn’t want more foreigners here basically I think but anyway we’ll move on thanks for the comment another one here from Scott Granada is a lovely City in my opinion

That’s exactly what’s happening Ren uh in the last 15 years or so ever since that housing bubble crash here and the Spanish economy was uh on its knees basically for a period there the only companies that were investing in Spain were these uh big hedge funds I think

You would call them real estate funds and they were buying up property all over the country property that was uh half built property that was completed uh basically anything they could get their hands on and of course uh they don’t get mortgages for those properties

That could be one of the reasons and I’m sure it is but I think what what Michael said also there is some um there is some truth behind that maybe less nowadays because the government’s cut cut down on or the European Union I should say has really uh cracked down on money

Laundering not easy to to move big sums of cash around anymore not like it was 15 years ago and I say that because I had a friend who worked in the real estate sector here uh selling houses on U on U he was on a lot sort of wherever

They built that wherever they were building the houses there was like a a pilot house set up or you know a a replica home and he was stationed there every every Saturday and Sunday and he said people used to walk in with €150,000 cash in a suitcase and hand it over so
