Okay and we are live Cal Amigo Stewart here from Spain speaks with another live stream we’ll have a look at some of the main news stories that have broken in the Press here today some comments that have been left on videos recently also and then in the second half of the video

We’ll go into the chat section see what’s happening there with people in the chat section now it’s been a big day for news today the 30th of January 2024 big day here in Spain because the amnesty law didn’t get through its first shot in Parliament as we can see here J

Of all political parties overturns amnesty law and Sanchez loses second key vote in 20 days the amnesty law has failed in a key vote in Congress the psoe party stood firm against the demands of JS per Catalonia and for now the law won’t go to the Senate JB

Catalonia had threatened to reject the bill that was crucial for Pedro Sanchez’s invest testure and did the same at the start of the 15th legislature because it didn’t provide enough protection for their leader cares ped deont the Socialist Party unlike what happened in the debate on the

Decree laws on the 10th of January did not give in to the demands of the Catalan independent supporters as a result the seven MPS from J voted against the law which would have meant General forgiveness for those involved in the Catalan Independence process this is the second major defeat in 20 days

For Pedro Sanchez government so the demands from poge deont and Company too strong were they and the psoe party not giving in and that amnesty law not getting across the line so this means that if they’re going to get that amnesty law across the line they’re

Going to have to make changes if they want the support of that party Jon and I think they’re going to try and negotiate over the next 20 days or so with Mr Caris bu deont and Company and see if they can reach an agreement but again as

We saw there the second defeat for bedro Sanchez in 20 days thanks to Mr B DeMont and Company H next piece of news here in the European Farmers War reaches Spain protests are being planned farmers are fighting back Europe’s agricultural sector is in turmoil and the protest that started in some European countries

Weeks ago are now spreading across much of the European Union Farmers demonstrations are happening in Germany Belgium Italy the Netherlands Greece Poland R Romania Lithuania and of course France where the protests are more violent and louder they are cutting off major highways and since yesterday there is a threat of indefinitely blocking all

Access to Paris with this heated situation as a backdrop the Rebellion virus is now spread to the Spanish agricultural sector which is announcing imminent protests we will mobilize and the sooner the better said the president of the young Farmers agricultural Association Pedro bar last weekend so various European countries as we can see

Here Germany Belgium Italy the Netherlands Greece and of course France Farmers protesting and now the virus as that article called called it spreading into Spain and Farmers unions calling for strikes here as well not sure whether the demonstrations will get as heated and violent as they have in

France in recent times because we know the fr the French don’t muck around when it comes to protesting in fact I would call them the kings of violent protesting and uh doesn’t take much to set the French off when it comes to protesting so I don’t know whether we’ll

Get the same level here uh maybe a few tractors rolling through Madrid and some apples throwing at the agricultural Ministry don’t know we’ll wait and see but uh yeah the virus spreading and the farmers War reaching Spain apparently next piece of news here in the Canary Islands describes the migratory pressure as

Unsustainable of cuko boats cuko being these hollowed out canoes the president of the Canary Islands Fernando clavo plans to visit the island of elero today this follows his decision on Monday to cancel his schedule because of the unsustainable immigration situation this is due to the continuous arrival of

Irregular boats to the island this year the situation is unsustainable with what we have experienced these weeks on the island of elero he told the media what we have lived through this January is unsustainable with more than 6,000 people arriving at our coasts in the situation with unaccompanied miners who

Now number over 5,500 is unsustainable in the first 15 days of the year 3,19 people arrived in the islands which is 833 more than the same period in 2023 the pace has not slowed down in the following two weeks so the situation there in the canaries according to the

President of the Canary Islands Fernando clavo unsustainable a word that we saw mentioned in that article at least three or four times unsustainable the situation there with the people from Africa arriving in the boats that we can see here on the screen there down the bottom these little what they call here

Caos these very small boats which are very very dangerous indeed of course people risking their lives to get to Spain now the next piece of news that I’ll get on to in a minute and it’s dealing with the porn uh Banning which the government is also planning to uh

Bring in in coming uh weeks and months I think and Sanchez has announced the creation of a committee of experts and measures to protect children on the internet this Monday Pedro Sanchez described the current lack of control over children and teenagers accessing pornography violent videos and other inappropriate online content as real

Serious and a growing risk to tackle this epidemic and its consequences for the development of their mental and Sexual Health the president of the government has announced new measures as part of the national agreement to protect minors on the internet that the government is promoting one of these

Measures will be the creation of a committee of experts to advise the government so there we go this is another plan that the government has to crack down on internet adult material and protect children from accessing it and also violent videos as well so the committee of experts being set up there

And uh we’ll see how or who’s part of the committee of experts and when indeed it is set up to advise the government on whether or not to limit the access of children to this adult material because the current controls are apparently not working now we’ll go into the comment

Section now we’re up to the 7 Minute Mark so into the comment section the first one here from oh no sorry that’s another piece of news that we won’t look at today and this one here from um uh Dave sent Pete to Madrid 1960 or 960

Sorry Legalize It says uh Dave now this is referring to an article that we saw yesterday uh in which it was um stated that there are so many illegal marijuana crops in the south of Spain now that it’s difficult to see the forests because they’re getting cut down for this illegal

Marijuana growing and Dave they’re saying well Legalize It lots of other people in the comment section had a similar point of view legalize it but here in Spain it’s not that easy unfortunately I went online earlier today to look at some of the reasons why it hasn’t been legalized considering how

Popular hashish and other cannabis products are in this country marijuana of course and I found this uh article and this quote taken from a medical expert who said that if marijuana is legalized consum consumption psychotic and personality disorders Dropout and school frustration will increase according to Dr karano around 75% of

Patients with personality disorders have been cannabis users the director of The Institute of Psychiatry and mental health at the Gregorio Maron Hospital Dr tho arango and stated that if there were no cannabis in a country there would be 6% less schizophrenia schizophrenia schizophrenia affects approximately 400,000 people in Spain we’re talking

About 15 or 20,000 fewer cases of that in Spain says Dr arango so uh there we go that’s the reason why it’s never really been discussed here in Spain the legalization of cannabis some some parties have brought it to the table uh political parties that is have brought

It to the parliament but doesn’t get much of a run because of experts like that having a a lot of influence over governments and the major political parties saying there that all of those things would increase uh Dropout rates School frustration personality disorders psychotic uh disorders as well uh if it

Is legalized so that’s one of the reasons why uh there’s not much of a a debate of it here in Germany there is but here in Spain no another one here from Young spirit always make me laugh St yeah stay in the US USA and get overwhelmed with our lifestyle and

Medical costs uh the European lifestyle is far better in so many ways I’m unhappy to hear about the pharmaceutical chemicals being used on produce in Spain and Italy well that was the accusation for lack of a better word that the French Farmers labeled at Spain yesterday using these uh pharmaceutical products I think

To uh protect the crops in Spain and and obviously in France they don’t do that and that may lead to an extra cost on fruit in France which is what the french farmers are complaining about that the European Union is allowing fruit to come into France or fruit and veg to come

Into France and uh French farmers are getting cut out I think that’s one of the main reasons for their protests and other people as well uh here in Spain a lot of fruit and veg comes in from Morocco and I’m sure it also comes into other European countries from the north

Of Africa and they’re probably complaining about that as well but uh yeah that was another comment that we had yesterday as well somebody said they’re planning on moving back to Spain from the states and uh I might have said something to a detractor of that comment

Who basically said to stay in the USA don’t come to Spain I think what that was that person’s words and I rate Spaniard who doesn’t want more foreigners here basically I think but anyway we’ll move on thanks for the comment another one here from Scott Granada is a lovely City in my opinion

Great food bars and shopping they say it’s the only place in Europe where you can ski in the morning and Sun bathe in the afternoon if you it can get extremely hot in the summer and cold in the winter but don’t let that put you off yes Scott that is what they say

About Granada you can go to the beach in the morning or ski in the morning and beach in the afternoon or the other way around if you like uh and also a a province in Spain with a lot of cultural significance as well of course Granada City and the famous alra building and

The other Heritage that that city has coastal cities the beaches are not the best I don’t think the ones that I’ve seen in Granada anyway Pebble beaches not the most comfortable beaches compared to Malaga that is so keep that in mind but apart from that you’re in between two fantastic provinces in Spain

Also in Malaga and aladia so you could easily slip into those two places and go to the the beach if you wanted to from Granada Granada City you can get to Malaga quite easily in fact so that could also be an option so Scott saying that uh Granada a fantastic Place

Another one here from Michael cash buying for houses can also read as moneya laundering especially here in the Iberian Peninsula where authorities tend to turn a blind eye here in the AL gav 6 years ago I’m I’m almost certain that the person organization who bought my

Villa in cash was involved in this trade as the asking price was never negotiated just paid so Michael’s got his suspicions that maybe there’s some illegal money changed hands when he sold that property in the AL gav don’t know we saw this yesterday as well that a lot

Of the uh transactions real estate transactions in Spain are in cash not necessarily meaning that people are turning up with big bags of the stuff and handing it over but even electronic cash electronic cash transactions of course uh rather than getting a mortgage because morgage mortgages have become

More difficult to get in Spain ever since the housing crisis some 12 or 15 years ago now so not easy to get a mortgage so people are buying houses in cash but as this comment also says here as regards so many houses being bought in cash is UN understandable big

Property buying corporations from other countries buy them in bulk to make money in rent I live in a corporation home that owns almost the entire estate and of over 100 homes here in the UK I don’t know if the same is happening in Spain but I wouldn’t be at all surprised

That’s exactly what’s happening Ren uh in the last 15 years or so ever since that housing bubble crash here and the Spanish economy was uh on its knees basically for a period there the only companies that were investing in Spain were these uh big hedge funds I think

You would call them real estate funds and they were buying up property all over the country property that was uh half built property that was completed uh basically anything they could get their hands on and of course uh they don’t get mortgages for those properties

That could be one of the reasons and I’m sure it is but I think what what Michael said also there is some um there is some truth behind that maybe less nowadays because the government’s cut cut down on or the European Union I should say has really uh cracked down on money

Laundering not easy to to move big sums of cash around anymore not like it was 15 years ago and I say that because I had a friend who worked in the real estate sector here uh selling houses on U on U he was on a lot sort of wherever

They built that wherever they were building the houses there was like a a pilot house set up or you know a a replica home and he was stationed there every every Saturday and Sunday and he said people used to walk in with €150,000 cash in a suitcase and hand it over so

That’s what it used to be like but I think it’s not that easy nowadays but I could be wrong wrong let me know uh and the last comment here from is this one here from uh gues like why like wines like wines sorry the best of the cheeses

Is the one that you like and I would second this comment here we spoke about this or I spoke about it yesterday uh people get very uh patriotic uh very um what’s the word um um very uh patriotic lack of a Bec better word sorry uh when

It comes to talking about these things very chauvinistic when it comes to things like uh wine and cheese you’ll often hear people saying oh this country’s cheeses are the best this country’s wines are the best but as that person points out there it’s whatever you like if you like a French wine

Fantastic if you like a Spanish wine fantastic is it the best probably not they’re all it’s all uh it’s all uh relative I think if you like it fantastic if you don’t fantastic but uh to say that everything is the best which you will quite often

Hear here and I’m sure in Italy as well they say the same things because I know a few Italians and have known a few Italians over the journey and everything from Italy is the best everything just like here everything’s the best it’s the best this the best that is it the best

Probably not but that’s just my opinion and uh that comment are there now we’re going to go into the chat section now that’s the end of the news before I do that I’m going to change the backdrop the backdrop today is from Mary and it is pisula don’t forget the Pula

Because it becomes a completely different word if you don’t use the the the N with the little thing over the top so thanks Mary for sending this one through and I think this is the famous castle in pisula which is called the um I can’t remember exactly but Papa something I

Think it is called but thanks Mary for sending that one through and if you’ve got a similar picture that you would like to see on the backdrop the email address is this one here spainspeaks gmail.com or any other information that you would like to send through feel free

To send it through to that email address people that have supported the channel recently thank you very much whether it’s on the uh super thanks uh where am I where’s my hand here whether it’s on the super thanks whether it’s on the buy me a coffee whether it’s on the patreon there thank

You very much for that support longer term supporters on patreon and also for people that have become members of the channel in recent times thank you very much for that that’s the like icon which I’ll put up in a minute as well but for people that have become members of the

Channel in recent times for example Martin 123 sha away Steven thank you very much guys for that support nvn as well Bob and uh other people that I’ve mentioned in previous videos thank you for becoming members of the channel as we can see there $1.99 a month so uh not

Expensive I don’t think just help support the channel it’s greatly appreciated by the way now uh into the chat section I’m going to go before I do that the like icon quickly if you haven’t hit it please consider it 64 so the like button is down below the video

Smash it please we’ll see if we can get a decent tally of likes today let’s see now into the chat section I’m going to go let’s have a look and see what’s uh going on here scroll up to the top first one that I can see is from uh Steven coming in

From F in Granada good to see you uh step in the chat today now I’m my seat the seat that I’m currently in seems to be uh sinking so if I get too low on the screen let me know it’s got a problem with the um with one of the aspects of

It here and it does uh sink so I’ll hopefully I won’t get too low in my chair here the next one from James and Kathy coming in from a Chile Worster uh zero there tonight cold sipping a nice Spanish red rera Del Duo I don’t mind rerto myself to be

Honest one of my favorite ones is it the best no but I like it Ricardo coming in from North London missed a few of the streams hoping to catch up soon things are really hectic with life at the moment hopefully things will hopefully things will settle hopefully they will

Uh Ricardo hope all is well Jake coming in also from the Philippines 2:30 a.m. there early morning lising from seu City in the Philippines Jake good to see you Darren coming in from uh where’s that El Southeast London good to see you Darren renon coming in Hope hello Jo and

Everyone on the channel from Sunny La good to see you renon uh oh renon is uh yeah coming in from sunny La there with the sun emoji John coming in who’s a member of the channel hello to everyone hoping we’re all going well all the best Alan San Diego viewer a regular viewer

Allan sometimes in Spain sometimes in the state sometimes in South America as we have seen in recent times di AOS fos in San Diego H 20° I’ll take that be colder here today 14 or 15 Alan coming in from uh Southeast London good to catch the live stream today thanks

Alan for that Richard who is also a valued member coming in today from North Yorks being dry but heavy rain yesterday local flooding and roads closed again much more often now seems to be isn’t it that we’re getting these more extreme types of weather Paul Gerard coming in

Nice to be here good to see you ball Barbara coming in from the play of flaminga hello Barbara S coming in from basing Stoke another regular viewer of course or regular viewer so far I think Colin evening evening Cole James nice haircut thank you very much got it done

Today 1299 can’t complain $1299 for a haircut haircuts in Spain are cheap I will say compared to Australia very cheap send some of the rain says Allen down here yeah we need some uh in some parts of the country at least here we’re okay for rain no water issues here

Steven also valued member coming in from T bit overcast the last couple of days but Sun back tomorrow apparently hopefully that is the case stepen Alan saying the French farmers are mainly protesting against Spanish and Italian produce coming into France yeah but as we saw Allan they’re protesting all around the European Union

At the moment Germany Greece Romania everywhere seems to be protesting about something when it comes to Agriculture and the Spanish going to start what are they going to protest about I don’t know it can’t be about Spanish produce so uh we’ll see Pamela coming in uh good evening good evening Pamela Stephen

Caught a live stream finally greetings thanks Steven for that I wonder what Fernando clavo is going to accomplish accomplish with a visit says and g d Fernando clav the canaries president I think well you know that’s what politicians do right they visit places to bring attention to the situation I

Imagine because the Press will also be there that’s the objective that’s why politicians go to places Richard um as we saw is really wish we could uh there is more than enough rain yeah sending that rain down of course the idea that somebody Allen came up with

Before Allan also here politics in the UK sucks but at least there is some subtlety and they get the elbow if they push things too far I would appear the naked desire for power is at any cost is normal in Spain yeah completely different system here um Allan you know

The system that you have in the UK the system that you have in the other um Westminster system countries for example Australia New Zealand it’s a different system uh politicians are often held more accountable I would say um if the pressure is on from the constituents that’s another difference that they

Don’t have here there’s no constituents press pressure because as we know in the UK uh politicians are you know elected by people in their constituency right happens in Australia as well but here that’s not the case it’s just the list of people that the the the head of the

Party puts on a list and you don’t even know half the people on the list you see the parliament you see people people that you’ve never SE who are these people they’re just people that are on the party list and um are they representing anybody yeah in theory the

People of Spain but you don’t know who they are you don’t know who they are so it’s uh Works a little bit differently and uh uh one thing that also differens differ differs Alan is that sometimes you get people that um cross the bench as they say I think that’s the

Terminology you might get somebody in your own political party that doesn’t vote with the party on a certain issue and that doesn’t happen here doesn’t happen here only by mistake uh Kristoff coming in from West Palm Beach I seem to be getting lower but hopefully I won’t get too low weed

Should be decriminalized not legalized uh decriminalized not legalized H Lan coming in uh from Ireland hoping we are well thanks for that uh uh who was that Logan Marcus 10 euro Super Chat have aino Tinto and some tapas thanks Marcus for that I will indeed thank you very much for your Super Chat

There there is some push back on push back on pot legalization here in the states of course there’s going to be push back everywhere there push back on uh alcohol as well no doubt but uh doesn’t get far and a coming in here EU countries they’re importantly agricultural protest

Against the governments but also protest agricultural products from elsewhere in the U EU like from Spain Italy Spain also protests same about Morocco that’s true that is true oaka just popping in uh on a break from work have to watch later enjoy Tuesday thanks for tuning in

Step saying we should be what you think we just saw this one one to arrest or put someone in jail who already has problems makes matters worse it’s all also a drug that is argu arguably less harmful than alcohol is I would agree with that

Uh is weed legal to grow in Spain at home according to Wikipedia it is yes it is you can have uh two plants I think in your garden as long as nobody can see them there are also uh cannabis clubs around the place as well where you can

Become a member go in and buy your weed or your what you want and uh I don’t think you’re allowed to take it home I think you have to uh smoke it in the club but not sure what happens exactly there but um yeah so it’s fairly

Laidback but it’s the number one illegal drug in Spain is cannabis but as we saw there those experts not having a bar of it when it comes to uh legalizing it I think I am sinking uh more and more in this chair so hopefully I won’t get

Too long by the end too far down by the end sorry uh The Irate Spaniard that doesn’t want wealthier retirees to immigrate should have produced more children and work for a better economy that’s one way of uh putting it uh and I saying I think that the marijuana has

Been grown in Spain but mainly for medical reasons for example against the glaucoma yeah but if it is grown for medical reasons it must be still illegal otherwise the Civil guard wouldn’t be raiding it right but I think we saw yesterday that it’s uh it’s going into uh other European countries not

Necessarily for medical reasons I imagine that if it is gr for medical reasons it would be controlled growing but the impression I got from the article yesterday and I was that it was uh illegal crops being grown by mafas that can get up to €9,000 per kilo in the north of Europe

For the same product that sells for a th000 here so nine times the amount of money we’re talking about something that I believe grows pretty easily in the south of Spain given the weather conditions there Alan saying the biggest problem with legalizing pot is too much Hawk

When over eating late at night Reefer Madness is rare but it won’t help a country that has productivity problems already maybe not what else let’s have a look let’s have a look um let’s have a look let’s have a look let’s have a look Elon kiss the door

Uh there is a home turned turned into a museum here in St Augustine Florida that was greatly inspired by the architecture of the alum in Granada lots of Spanish artifacts inside the influential building exactly papal Luna says Mary the author of the photo behind us thanks

For that Mary I thought it was something along those lines papal Luna I’m sinking further and further I’m just going to try and put my chair up give sorry all right now I’m back up to where I should be uh Charlie saying uh try to buy locally sometimes it’s easier than

Others H what else let’s have a look growing in the north of Spain for medical reasons that’s right yeah probably that is true growing in greenh houses or something control growing rather than the um the gorilla crops down on the south uh uh let’s have a look where is

My uh hand here I think Stu had a date with Mary Jane today yeah unfortunately not I was trying to work out where to put it in order to point at the uh icons that I had on the screen it’s not easy to do when everything is back the front

What else Bob coming in from TOA please don’t mock people who think that their products are the be surely prais is better as they are being patriotic yeah Bob um uh I just get sick of hearing that everything’s the best you know I can understand that people want to be

Patriotic and say that their stuff is the best and another country stuff is uh inferior but at the end of the day we’re talking about a product uh you know it’s um it’s nothing special if it was something else maybe but when we talk about something like a cheese or ham you

Often hear here in Spain Spanish ham is the best it’s the best there’s nothing like it there’s nothing like it anyway what else we got going on Janet back in Oxford from Seville I miss the blue sky and the family I can imagine that is true Carlos

Coming in from La Steven also a valued member in the chat wife’s watching the live show with me tonight she loves uh she loves Roka like me with man is that Mano she also loves uh Wesley Dale cheers mate thank talking about cheeses there what else best wine is the glass

That you were holding yeah I mean I like uh you know Spanish wines I like uh French wines I’m not an expert on Italian wines I had some great Australian wines when I would when I was there but are they the best in the world

Are they the best don’t know heuts in El Porto are 10 euros yeah there you go if you trust the barber uh ASV uh water management is the issue floods in the north drought in the South could be I’m sure there’s a plan I’m sure there’s a

Plan uh maroon says why is the Govern not government not after the Coke but cannabis don’t know maybe there a different classification when it comes to that drug farmers are constantly protesting an Ireland too says Steven and uh Miguel uh says a new word popped up in Davos uh ecosite question mark don’t

Know about that word at all but thanks for uh pointing out to us now that’s the end of the live stream I’ve come to the end of the chat section thank you very much for uh watching today thank you very much for tuning in I’ll be back again tomorrow with another live stream

Thanks for the uh Super Chat also from Marcus before uh as I said back again tomorrow with some more news some more uh comments so hopefully I’ll see you then AO AES bye-bye

  1. They’ve got all the land, subsidised fuel and tax breaks like no other privately run business, they have denuded our soils, polluted our watercourses and decimated our native ecology, yet none of them can seemingly turn a profit.

I say enough is enough. The only ones who benefit are the bankers and the supermarkets.

  2. Here in Southern California you can also ski in the morning and go surfing in the afternoon..Big Bear to Huntington Beach is about 100 miles. Not easy but doable.

  3. How can you have electronic and cash , cash is notes , and it has been common in Spain that part of what you pay was a cash sum, and that the price on the the deeds was lower , that way you paid less tax ,, it was not stopped because this happened right at the top of the chain. You gotta love black money , dinero negro . The economy has always run that way ,
1000s maybe 100s of thousands getting paid with cash in hand for work, most ex pats did, and many many more Spanish did. All part of it being very hard to get a contact for work.
If your on low income the €300 ish a month for autonomo stamp .

  4. All cash for property is OFTEN bargain hunting for many folks from Cities like mine (SF,Ca) when houses are 1M. And for us it’s just moving a pile of money from our accounts, often Roth or 401K, to real estate in the especially in autonomous regions waiving worldwide asset taxes. Oh and a solid exchange rate doesn’t hurt. Just my opinion.

  5. Money laundering is everywhere in Australia too (both in residential real estate and in business). The government has already been handed reports telling them of the situation but no action. Criminal organisations and money fleeing from countries such as China are finding a welcoming home in Australia.

  6. I was in a bar in Tordesillas when the election results came in and it was clear that the country was in a mess. Ever since Sanchez cobbled together this coalition it was obvious that this Parliament will inevitably collapse before the end of its term. Relying on a Party like Junts to push through legislation is absolutely insane. They are a separatist political party with one overriding agenda and they made it clear from the outset that they would behave like this unless Sanchez gave them what they wanted. Furthermore, by going into coalition with Junts Sanchez has only helped to widen the political chasm that exists in Spain. There's hardly any middle ground to fight for now. It's either Left and far Left or Right and far Right. That reality exists in the separatist regions as well.

We have separatist movements in the U.K as well but it is unthinkable that either of the two main parties would ever go into coalition with them. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The Spanish government is a zombie government that wont be able to do anything except by asking the approval of separatists with a completely separate agenda. Spanish politics is in a desperate and dangerous position. Neither of the two main parties look like they can win an overall majority in a general election (Spain is divided) so we are in a process of repeated elections or zombie and incomplete administrations such as we are witnessing. I also think there are historical reasons why this division will never be healed. WT

  7. Fernando Clavijo is absolutely correct when he describes the situation in the Canary Islands as "absolutely unsustainable". Of course it is and there is no way to describe it otherwise. The Canary Islands are part of Spain and Sanchez better do something about it. He wont, of course, because he doesn't want to look like Mr Nasty and the Canaries are a long way from Moncloa.

  8. The problem with the current French farmer protests is that they have currently almost closed the French road system with hundreds of roadblocks on most main routes !! This means for Spain, that there is currently no land route for goods to France or the rest of Europe ; Spain is barracaded in essentially right now !!!

  9. If you ask a Spaniard who cooks the best tortilla they will tell you their grandmother!
So like you say it all comes down to your preference what you like.

  10. I'm with you on all this "best" stuff. I've had enough jingoism here in the states. I had a gf who said everything is political, but, for c.s., let me like my cheese and wine for what they are — cheese and wine!

  11. I haven’t smoke for 50 years, but i believe it should be legal. It should be regulated by the agricultural department to make sure there’s no poisons or toxins and to collect taxes. I actually think it is better than alcohol, and yes i enjoy a gin & tonic to relax.

  12. I admire the way french working class do protest for their rights & farmers united & support. But remember campers they soon scarpered in 1917 & 1939 when German tanks arrived . Maybe they could grow Cannabis instead & fly along in their fancy big tractors.
    .

  13. Migration today is a fraction of what it will be over the next decade, figure out how to embrace it it will not go away

  14. Haha !! Really funny to hear you mention Hawkwind and Reefer Madness from the comments, next you'll be talking about my hero Robert Calvert! great show, all the best Stu

  15. The French farmers will have to live with all the red tape from Brussels ,you won't have a say on anything,

  16. Hi Stu. Regarding the cannabis legislation debate, I do despair when I hear the constant people who repeatedly think legislation would be a good thing, despite the mountain of evidence which proves it has been anything but.

With the ever growing numbers of idle and lazy people in Spain already, how could this ever be a good idea?

  17. Hey Stu, sorry I missed this one. There's a European civil war brewing. The elites will lose their attempt to shut down the civil farming communities and I for one am 100% behind the uprising as a country farming community member in Portugal and a leaver of Spain after 30+ years in Spain. Bring it on WEF and the corrupt politicians and super elites who want to take control, shame on them trying to blame this eco climate change on hard working people who bring food to the table… Support your local farming communities, best regards Marco 🙏👊

  18. Wow!! Boat people up 838% !! If that continues throughout the year, that equates to 146,000 migrants landing on the beaches of the Canary Islands this year.
