Hello friends welcome back to West Virginia we got home last night and as I walked in the door I said to myself we need to add French country that’s what we’re doing so today it’s going to be a full dining room decorate with me video

So get cozy cuz we’ve got a lot to do I’ve made a complete mess around me because I got up early this morning I had coffee and I thought I want to give you guys something fun today and so I just brought in a ton of stuff I moved

Furniture around and this is what I’ve sort of come up with I kind of staged it and then I put it all on the island so now it’s just a matter of plugging and playing and I know I’m going to be tweaking along the way so so here’s my

Goal today it’s to add warmth coziness pull in the French country pull in a touch of modern here and there and when I say modern for me that means a little splash of black here a little splash of black there that’s my way of incorporating modern and when I do that

Then I need to pull in some softness so that’s when you go in with baskets Greenery florals and when you do that it kind of softens it tones down the harshness of the black and it just pops first and foremost I’m going to pull in my French

Country cabinet and I’m going to put it in the window with some lamps let’s do it immediately I am loving these curtains with this furniture piece it’s just so beautiful and I love the textural backdrop of these woven blinds because it’s early morning we usually have a lot of bright light that

Comes in here a little cloud cover today um so I’ve just decided to keep the blinds closed for now you can still see through those blinds BLS as you can see but it also acts as a little privacy screen and um yeah we love these blinds they’re great next let’s add some lamps

Because lamps are going to look great and add warmth both inside and outside so I have a set of these lamps I got these on Amazon and I love them just so you know you know how I like to do a blooming lamp I haven’t done one in a

Long time I’m definitely bringing it back this year first for sure but honestly you could actually stick a seasonal wreath around this we’ll probably do that in the spring uh but for now I’ve got a different look in [Applause] mind you see how those lamps just brightened everything up and it really brings a homey cozy factor for me I went into my hul closet and I looked at this beautiful wreath and I said I am so ready for you you beautiful wreath look at those colors does that not say spring

Um but I just brought it in here cuz I wanted to show you if you want to do this grab yourself some color if you’re craving color like me you can certainly do something like this it would be beautiful perhaps on a little bit of a

Wider table you would set this down and then place your lamp right right in the center isn’t that pretty it’s so pretty anyway is that not gorgeous it’s so pretty and then work your vignette around something like this and so anyway just an idea but we’re not doing that

Just yet my goodness what a beautiful gorgeous day just look at those blue skies bring on spring since we’re doing French country I have to bring in my beautiful rooster love a good rooster because you can dress them up you can place a little seasonal ribbon around the neck you can add a

Tassel um you could add some wood beads you can always dress Mr rooster Up he’s the star of the Show So I normally do a bow or Ribbon um around his neck I don’t have any I just I I I don’t know where it is so I’m just going to go around his neck with these Beads Boom done next I have some Greenery and I sort of am making a little bit of a what looks like a swag but it’s just going to go at the base of his feet and this is what I mean by going in and softening things up because I am going

To be adding some black taper candle holders in amongst this mix Doesn’t he look cute there I think he looks adorable now I’m going to go in with two candles on one side and two candles on the other trust me when you see the whole room put together you’ll like the pops of Black Okay next I have a shelf here this actually comes in a set I’ll put a picture right here of what it looks like okay and then coming over here we have yet another shelf it’s a little bit different um but anyway we’re going to decorate these I love using a

Shelf because if you you like decorating as much as I do you’re constantly rotating your artwork and not necessarily put holes in the wall every time you want to swap out your artwork this is a great way to do it I already have a couple holes I need to take care

Of up there and this is why I ended up adding this because I thought you know what Liz you’re always changing your stuff get a shelf so with French country in mind or early spring you decide I found this on Amazon and I am in love look at this artwork I found it’s

Wood this is wood too and it’s a basket with Greenery it’s absolutely beautiful and so I’m going to set that on the Shelf I love this little metal shelf because it actually gives this wall decor Character we also have this huge walmir here from let’s see Hobby Lobby I normally hang a wreath up there from it um but I’m not going to do that today all right now we’re going to come over here and I’ve got something in mind to go there obviously whatever goes over

Here I want to coordinate well with what I put there so I came across this as well on Amazon is that not not cute same thing it’s wood and it’s got a beautiful wood frame as well so I’m going to put that on that shelf are you guys starting to see where

I’m going with This So I found this on Amazon if I remember correctly did it come in a set of to or did I just get to I don’t know um because I do have one on my coffee bar and I’m going to place this here why just to add a little

Interest okay I’m going with it I just just I think it’s cute it’s I put it a little off center and then I added that so let’s work with it okay so I do have this beautiful wreath I got on Amazon and so I I actually want to hang it here

But I don’t have the ribbon I want to use to hang it and it would be far too high if I were to put it up on that hook it doesn’t work I’m going to probably get some neutral kind of ribbon and then hang it from that screw so in

This corner over here right behind me I’m going to put my Hobby Lobby black table and um I’m going to uplight it so I’m going to take one of my spotlights I’m going to plug it in down there I’m going to get the table into

Place and then what am I going to add just remembered why I’m not going to hang a wreath on that mirror I decided to go in with an arrangement it would just be far too busy if I had a wreath and a busy Arrangement so close to one

Another so we’re going to forgo the wreath but it’s an idea for you guys uh but anyway I’m going to plug this in put my table into place and then let’s create a cute vignette so I have my little light uplighting the corner here’s my metal table it’s Hobby Lobby baskets are a great way to conceal electrical outlets so I’m going to go in with this it adds a pop of texture and a pop of green and I just threw uh some ferns in here To this table I’m going in with this wood Riser with black metal legs it’s currently not available but I’ll link something similar in case you like this look to this I’m going to add a black vase some eucalyptus stems and some new flowers I found on

Amazon okay so here is this black face I can’t remember where I got it from honestly but I got it last year to the pot I added my favorite eucalyptus stems I’ll link them below they fluff out beautifully you get a whole bunch in a

Pack and then I found these you guys may remember last summer I bought these in yellow and I put them on my kitchen island in a big glass vase and elevated them with a riser I decided to go in and get the white ones now they call these

White I I would not say these are white they’re really white tipped but um anyway they’re beautiful so I kind of placed them in here and I’m going to set them on the Riser so isn’t that fun probably need to go in and just Bluff it out a little bit more um but the eucalyptus fluffs out super easy you can bend it into place these flowers are very bendable as well it’s actually really fun to work with both of These I also want to point out that the light right behind I know it’s going to be hard to tell because um I’ve got my light ring on but at night this looks so pretty cuz it it backlights the wall and then the arrangement really stands out

So anyway I think it looks really pretty here in the corner going in with a black marble board but unfortunately it’s no longer available so I’ll link something similar you know if you’re interested So I think that turned out really cute it’s simple but it looks good okay now now in this corner I’m going to bring in my little inexpensive uh table I got from Amazon it’s not available anymore but um I’m going to add light on it in this corner

And then we’re going to get the table and the chairs pulled into place and then decorate the top of the table okay so that’s what I did over there I I really didn’t change it um except for the little Arrangement on the bottom I just drug it back into place I’m going to now place my table into Place so there we have it the table is in place actually wanted to go in with some colorful plates turns out I sold them all or I donated them now I’m kicking myself so to sort of tie in the black and white with the French country

I’m kind of using what I have these are new these are dessert plates I found on Amazon and I wanted to get the whole set at Christmas but these actually were intended to go in my touch and because they have little shelves and the only plates you can fit on them are dessert

Size plates so um I really wish that I would have got the whole set but I didn’t but I love these they come in different colors green red I just think they’re very cute and I love the detail around the edge so I’ve decided to pair them with my porine Checker plates these

Are not available right now I’m going to link a Harley Quinn plate that is black and white I just found it on Amazon this morning and I am so getting them um but anyway if you like this look it’ll give you a similar look but you can take this

And add it to this is that not fun I think it’s really fun and the harleyquin plates are probably going to make it look even better now when I was playing with this idea this morning I’m like oh my goodness Liz you don’t have a full

Set I have seating for eight here and I only have um six so I do have these beautiful dimpled green plates I have the whole set um but I’m only using two for each end and then I’m going to go in with a dessert plate so I feel like it

Will tie the look together even though the two end ones are different kind of gives it visual interest breaks it up going to go in with these little woven Airy kind of place mats I’m going to place these place my dinner wear and then we’re going to do a centerpiece

So now I have this huge dough Bowl I definitely think it looks kind of French country-ish so what I’m going to do is put this in the center of the table and just so you know in case you’re interested I believe they come in a pack of three so they

Come individually wrapped and you get three of these so you just slip them out and what you’re going to want to do is give them some movement so they look realistic and so I just take them and kind of bend them back and then forward

Back back and then forward so now when I put them in the bowl um they’ll look really pretty cuz you’ll want some sticking up you’ll want some laying down I have six total and I think I’m going to use them in this dough Bowl because it’s so large been waiting for
