Diets are manufactured to feed the diet industry engine. You have all sorts of nutritional fads and diets created to make people feel hungry so they don't follow through with their set plans.
The real nutritional health is to find foods which allow you to feel full. Meat fats are good because they break down slower and your body can feed off them longer and are good for breakfasts so you can run off the energy from them throughout the day. Proteins are another food which will make you feel satiated. Sugars on the other hand do Not satiate and actually make you want to eat more than you actually set out to eat because you don't feel full. Sugars are only a portion of your Carbs, there's fiber, sugar, added sugars, and the other throwaways which are classified as other carbs. Though there's a difference between sugar and added sugars. Added sugars are most often unnecessary in most items, not cranberry juice because that's just sour or bitter af without the sugar.
The problem with our ingredient measuring system is that it confuses customers when grams are used to measure sugar instead of tsp and tbsp. Not a lot of people would add almost a 1/4 cup of sugar to their beverages, but that's what happens a lot of the time with manufactured pop/sodas. Being in control of your food and the measurements put into your food is so very important and yet we are being divorced from the source of our foods because of time and energy devoted to work and other pursuits that distract from cooking and baking, while relying on others to control the items used in our foods.
Fruits and vegs are good for nutrients which the other foods wouldn't provide, especially good to eat the fresh stuff. Juices are concentrated, so it's good to keep moderate servings of juice for a several reasons. A glass of juice will carry 4 whole oranges which a lot of people will not usually eat and has no fiber, so is all sugar. Plus, all orange juice brands usually have a perfume and a flavoring added which are not required to be listed in the ingredients list and could contain unlisted allergens because they are the hush-hush ingredients that no one wants customers to know about otherwise they won't buy them. Orange juice is usually really old and tastes nasty, so even if they juice says Simply or Natural or whatever on the label there will always be additives added to bulk up your juices. And the funny part is, that many juices out there, outside of Orange and Apple juices have so much sugar added to them, especially cranberry that they are a health hazard when it comes down to creating sugar.
Healthy is not switching out the fat in low-fat items with sugar. Processed foods have so much sugar added that it causes our bodies to add body fat. Like who knew that Ketchup has sugar added? So many ingredients have corn syrup, sugar, starches, and other products that the body converts into glucose, fructose, and other sugars…while our forebears (grands and great-grandparents) didn't have this much sugar added into everyday products.
People worry about fat so much in our diets, when the fat isn't the problem. The sugar converts to body fat and people gain tons of weight from fast foods, restaurant foods, and processed foods.
And don't get me started on the sugar relationship between type 2 diabetes and influx of sugars into the US diet. Sugar itself isn't a bad thing, it's what it does to our organs, overworking them into making insulin and unbalancing insulin and sugars (glucose, etc.) in our bodies.
