Initially Coca Cola was launched as a medicine known as French wine coca which contained alcohol and cocaine but to increase profit its founder doctor John Pemberton removed alcohol and started to sell this drink as a soft drink. Initially it was a terrible business so much so that John Pemberton sold this company to candler. After taking over the company he heavily marketed and this marketing result in overturning this failed company to an empire.
