Tenerife is well known for great food and good coffee. Of course, the travellers are not coming over to eat and to drink. It is not Italy or France. But still, the Island has great places which offer local products.
Coffee, for example, has an important role in locals life. They have been cultivating coffee since the 18th century.
Then there are the Papas Arrugadas, local wrinkled potatoes. And we need to mention the typical local sauce: Mojo Verde and Mojo Rojo. Furthermore, there is the Gofio which is a highly nutritive mix of cereals.
What is also great that for travellers is very easy to find local products. One of our favourite places in the market in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Then we also like the bodegas near Puerto de la Cruz, but, about wine, we will have a special dedicated video 😀
