I’m showing you how to make a classic French macaron. This process starts out by first making a French meringue. We’re doing this by adding egg whites and some cream of tartar into a mixer. Then slowly add in some granulated sugar. Once you’ve reached stiff
Peaks, it’s time to add our confectioner’s sugar and almond flour. Mix this together until no lumps remain and then add in some gel food coloring of your choice. Then we’re going to macaronage, which is a term that refers to folding the dry ingredients into the meringue.
This process smooths out the batter, and it should be a lava-like consistency. Once you’ve reached the perfect stage, it’s time to pipe your macarons onto a baking sheet and pop all of the air bubbles. Then allow the skin to dry on the counter for about an hour
And then pop the macarons into the oven to bake. You should be left with slightly raised feet and a full, slightly chewy interior. Don’t forget to pipe your favorite filling like buttercream or ganache inside your Macron’s and enjoy .
