$10 pin Noir uh oh hello and welcome to the wine Turtle YouTube channel my name’s Jamie and I’ll be your host as we taste and review popular wines from around the world and explore the grapes and the wine making techniques that make them special I’m back at costol again today with another

Kirkland Signature wine this is the 2021 caros Pino Noir now this costs just $10 which is incredible value for p Noir these days it’s a grape that just does not come cheap so I’m really excited to see how this one tastes caros is an Ava that spans part

Of both Napa Valley and Sona County Pon Noir and Chardon are the most popular grapes grown here and they benefit from cool and windy weather and dense clay and soil now this wine is 14.5% ABV and it’s aged in French Oak it’s also made by Allison Crow who makes a lot of these

Kirkland Signature wines some of which are really tasty so let’s get tasting this is a pale to medium Ruby in color a little bit darker than Peno is typically there a nice Cola not there like a cola candy or Cola bubblegum you Pleasant no with some

Strawberry and some black cherry and a a spicy element coming from the the French Ork which this is edged in some raspberry strawberry Cola is there it disappears very quickly and it’s spicy that um new French Oak given it some some real spiciness there really nice finishes

Fairly short in length um it’s a $10 wine though we can we can forgive that for $10 acidity is really gentle actually it’s a really um really approachable Pino Noir it’s very very soft acidity very light I I mean it’s there but it’s yeah not not like you’re used to

And I’d say a little bit more tanic than uh Pino is typically as well not a tanic wine but it’s the tan is more noticeable put it that way yeah that that’s a tasty wine little bit rough around the edges I’d say it’s it’s a little bit hot in the nose the

Alcohol is present and on the pallet it’s noticeable as well so it’s a little bit rougher in the edges maybe needs needs a bit more time um but yeah really good for $10 yeah it’s really not your typical pen andir this the acidity is so light and

Gentle and soft and it’s a little bit more tanic than P Noir is generally as well it’s lovely and fruity you’ve got your strawberry cherry plum and that colonal which just disappears a little bit too quickly for my liking the finish in general is a little bit quick for me

But it can be forgiven considering this is caros SPO Noir for just $10 that is exceptional I mean it just doesn’t happen does it so it has to be applauded for that for me a score although I feel it’s a bit rough around the edges I’m going to score at 7.5 out of

10 it’s a fun wine I I’ve really enjoyed drinking it I think it might improve over the next day or so I’ll keep you posted and yeah like I said $10 for caros Pino andir wow so pick it up if you’re lucky lucky enough to find it in

Costco cuz it will fly off the shelves whenever it’s in so thanks for joining me I hope you’ll join me again next time bye
