I paired this easy Buffalo Chicken Dip with the Canadian Lake Breeze Vineyards Pinot Blanc and it was fantastic! Crisp and mouth-cleansing, but with enough body and a hint of sweet to hold up to the creamy spiciness of the dip! Other pairing options: off-dry Pinot Gris, off-dry Chenin Blanc (or Vouvray), or off-dry Riesling
RECIPE
Ingredients:
– ½ cup soft cream cheese
– 1 cup full fat sour cream
– ½ cup Franks Redhot Sauce
– 2-3 cups of shredded rotisserie chicken
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– ¼ cup green onions (plus more to garnish)
Directions:
– Mix all ingredients together (leave some cheese)
– Layer in a baking dish (half the dip, sprinkle some cheese, more dip).
– Smooth out and bake uncovered for ~20 minutes (or until hot the whole way through).
– Top with more cheese and broil on high for ~3 minutes until golden and bubbly.
– Serve with homemade French bread crostinis and enjoy
