Through the Eurotunnel on Le Shuttle, a 48-hour road trip to Brittany, France.
Leaving Wales on Sunday night and driving overnight to Folkstone on the south coast to get on Le Shuttle through the channel tunnel and then down to Brittany in Northern France. The channel tunnel train crossing takes about 35 minutes.
Quickly loading the van with stuff left in the barn from the house in Brittany.
A 1200 mile round trip, two grumpy men stuck in a VW van with a lack of sleep.
On the way back we stop off in Calais to stock up on some wine and cheese before driving back to Wales.
We finally get back to Wales after Tuesday at 5pm, 48 hours after setting out.
The main reason for taking the Eurotunnel is because one of us hates boats although the other is an ex-member of the RNLI so doesn’t mind them!
