From Vignobles Barreau comes this 2021 Max Barreau In-Fusion Rose wine (12.5%) made from 1% whole cluster Merlot grapes “infused” into 99% Sauvignon Blanc grape juice giving it this wonderful color and flavor profile. This wine is part of their New Wave Wine collection with wonderful art work and punchy yet fun flavors.
Tasting notes: flavors of mandarin & tangerine/citrus with slight sweetness, tartness & acidity. There is a slight creaminess/orange creamsicle-ness to the texture. Very elegant wine and is well worth hunting a bottle down to enjoy. On Vivino this would be a solid 3.9-4.0/5 wine. Purchased for $30 at our local Saskatoon Co-op and imported by Neige Imports, we are looking forward to trying the other wines in this collection as we come across them.
