Roussillon, a relatively little area at the very southern tip of France. The bigger Languedoc-Roussillon which encompasses a solid third of the French Mediterranean coast is better known and it is one of the biggest if not the biggest wine region in France, but the Roussillon itself hasn’t reached a great level of fame so far. Let me contribute to changing that here. What’s special about Roussillon compared to Languedoc and the rest of France? what kind of wine do we make here?
