Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France has been a successful effort to strengthen the ties between the two nations. The key events were (1) PM Modi was awarded the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour by French President Emmanuel Macron (2) he attended the Bastille Day Parade in Paris as the Guest of Honour (3) PM Modi met with French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne and also (4) addressed an Indian community event in Paris.
Speaking about the outcome of PM Modi’s visit, the two countries signed a number of agreements to enhance defence cooperation, trade and investment, and climate change.
PM Modi and President Macron agreed to deepen cooperation between India and France in a number of areas.
