French Lick Springs Hotel is the Best Family Resort in Indiana. The French lick Resort is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA four diamond award wining resort. The French Lick Spring Hotel is located right next to it’s sister hotel, The West Baden Springs Hotel right next to the Hosier National Forrest. The French Lick Resort Hotel was built in 1902. It was initially built because it’s natural springs in the area and it’s healing waters. This is our favorite resort in the mid- west for kids and family. The French Lick Springs Hotel is dripping with luxury and opulence, but completely caters to kids and families. The French Lick Springs Hotel is The Best Family Resort in Indiana and probably the best resort in all the mid west. This historic resort is so incredible, we’ve been coming here for years. There is something here for everyone, They have the French Lick Stables and horseback riding for guests. There are shooting ranges and archery. The Activities Center is a place just for kids. It is open all day and they always have games and crafts going on. Plus for an additional fee grownups can drop their kids off. They can then hit one of the three professional golf courses. Donald Ross, Pete Dye and Tom Bendelow Nowhere else in the world can a golfer play courses designed by each of these noted and prolific designers at one resort destination. The rolling hills of southern Indiana provide a beautiful yet challenging experience with 45 holes of legendary golf. Adult guests can also hit the French Lick Casino. We made sure to drop our kids off and hit the French Lick spa. The French Lick Resorts were originally built as spas, so the tradition continues.

Dining at French Lick Springs Hotel has so many options but we are celebrating a Birthday so we are going to their fine dining steak house. 1875 The Steakhouse Named to commemorate May 17, 1875, the date of the first Kentucky Derby, French Lick Springs Hotel’s signature restaurant is located adjacent to the main lobby. Bask in an elegant atmosphere with an open kitchen, overlooking our scenic gardens and iconic Pluto Spring gazebo. Serving 100% premium aged Midwest, corn-fed Angus beef, 1875: The Steakhouse offers choice cuts that are aged to be tender and full of flavor.

This family resort has heated indoor and outdoor pools a hot tub and a fountain of dolphins.

One of our favorite things to do is ride the train between the French Lick Springs Hotel and The West Baden Springs Hotel. The train is well over 100 years old.
