My Christmas Lunch, French Onion Soup and Crab Soup are always my start of a great Christmas lunch , sliced baked ham along with sliced Turkey (both made the day before) sliced cheese platter, and a basket of fresh baked rolls , all the ingredients of a delicious sandwich. French Onion Soup is always made the day before, put into a crock pot and plugged in the first thing Christmas morning, by lunch it is hot and ready to serve. Crab soup is simple matter of throwing together about 5 ingredients, video is in the process,
French Onion Soup Recipe: 7 Sweet Onions, 48oz Beef Broth, 16 oz Chicken Broth, 1/2 cup Sugar, 1/2 cup Flour, French bread, Swiss Cheese ,Stick of Butter
Direction:
Slice Onions, Saute in butter and oil, after 3 minutes add sugar, stir and cook additional 2 minutes add flour , stir,,,1 more minute (6 minutes total ), add 48 oz Beef Broth to Onion, bring to boil,,move to Crock Pot, add additional 16 oz chicken broth. bring to boil, turn to LOW Season to taste,,,I add 1
TSP Salt and 1/2 TSP pepper GARNISH: Croutons and Cheese Swiss or Provolone or both LOL)
