The city of Colmar is not called the most beautiful city in Alsace, a French province just on the border with Germany, for nothing.
It is famous for its old half-timbered houses along the canals, its wines and the birthplace of Auguste Bartholdi, the creator of the famous Statue of Liberty.
The local climate is ideal for grape growing. It is also the starting point of the famous Route des Vins d’Alsace, a wine route which allows visitors to explore all the special features of the local wine-growing industry and sample the noble’s most celebrated grape varieties.
It is a beautiful town surrounded by beautiful villages, wineries and castles.
It is impossible not to fall in love with this region. IT’S BEAUTIFUL!!!
