Poulet Basquaise is a French Chicken dish recipe , delicious and easy to prepare
Ingredients;
4 Chicken laps
3 Large scotch bonnet peppers (red, yellow, green)
1cup white wine
2tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoon cooking vegetable oil
2 large onions
3 garlive cloves
1tablespoon mixed herbs de provence
1tablespoon thyme
Bay leaves
4 large tomatoes
1 tablespoon black pepper
half tablespoon salt
1 cup warm water
300g Lardon
Parsley
Preparation;
Add 2 tablespoon olive oil in the chicken
mix and set aside
Crush the garlic and black pepper
Wash the vegetables properly and cut in thin,long slices
Slice your onions
Blend the tomatoes
Cooking;
Put a pot on low heat and add 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
Add chicken and leave fry on both sides till golden brown
Remove chicken and throw away the oil used in frying
In another pot,add 2 tablespoon cooking oil
Add the onions and fry till golden brown
Add the 300g Lardon and fry for 2minutes
Add the peppers and leave fry for 5 minutes
Add the tomatoes,garlic,parsley,1 cup of white wine and stir thoroughly
Add half tablespoon of salt,mixed herbs,thyme,bay leaves,stir and cover pot to cook on low heat for 25minutes
Add the chicken and 1 cup of warm water
Cover to cook on low heat for 15minutes
Stop the fire
Serve with white rice, grilled potatoes, grilled vegetables etc.
