Day one of our 6 day French (Normandie) motorcycle trip.
We managed to visit several museums, all of the landing beaches and some of the American and German cemeteries. The whole landscape is historic and a huge price was paid in human life.
Normandy is a beautiful if somewhat emotional landscape now. Lots of the old buildings were blown up and lots of new building since the end of the war.
