30-minute Onion Soup Recipe:

Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 25 mins
Servings: 3

Ingredients:
8 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cups Vidalia onions (2 large onions)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
4 cups beef stock
1/4 cup red wine
3 sprigs of thyme
Croutons
Provolone cheese

Instructions:
1. Slice the onions as thin as possible
2. Sauté the onion in the butter, salt, and pepper then cover and brown at M/L heat for approximately 10 mins.
3. Add in brown sugar, red wine and bring to a simmer.
4. Add in beef stock, thyme and cook for 5-6mins.
5. Transfer the onion soup to a crock, add in croutons and cheese, and broil for 3-4 min until the cheese has melted.
