In 1976, NASCAR was invited to send two cars to the 24 Hours of Le Mans after the head of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) visited the 24 Hours of Daytona, now known as the Rolex 24 at Daytona. One of those drivers was Hershel McGriff, who sat down with Jerry Jordan, founder of Kickin’ the Tires to recollect on his first trip to Le Mans and how he will be making his return to watch Hendrick Motorsports and #NASCAR race a modified NexGen stock car in the Garage 56 position, known as the innovation entry.
