The Stuyvesant Wellness Council proudly presents their attempt at healthy bread baking! Today we attempt to make french baguettes, round rye bread, and coconut bread using instant yeast starters. The recipes that were adapted can be found at:

Besides being an amazing source of nutritious carbohydrates, baking also provides its participants with a form of meditation. Assembling and measuring ingredients, getting your hands dirty with dough, and smelling the fresh scent of warm bread all amounts to a great accessible therapeutic activity. For any student facing stress or anxiety, we recommend baking as a solution.
