We kicked off our journey at Oakwood Premier, a cozy Tokyo apartment connected to the bustling Tokyo train station. It became our home for a whole month, giving us the perfect base to dive into the heart of this vibrant city.
Let’s start with the foodie side of Tokyo! Get ready to tantalize your taste buds with interactive Shabu Shabu, succulent Sukiyaki, and sizzling Yakiniku. We discovered a hidden gem where Japan and Italy meet, and Daimaru at Tokyo Train Station turned out to be a food lover’s paradise. Don’t miss the chance to savor the mouthwatering goodness of Takoyaki or experience the thrill of a revolving sushi bar. And the dining experiences that left a lasting impression on us include Lawry’s Prime Rib Tokyo, where flavors melt in your mouth, and Gon Pachi, the famous “Kill Bill restaurant.” Oh, and you won’t believe the incredible Tonkatsu restaurant we stumbled upon at Narita Airport!
Now, let’s talk about the romantic date nights we had in Tokyo. We wanted to create special memories, so we sought out the most enchanting destinations. We savored the artistry of a 2-star Michelin restaurant called Edition Koji Shimamura, where each dish was a work of art. The mixology cocktail bar we discovered took our taste buds on an unforgettable journey. And the traditional flavors of Kyubey Sushi in Ginza left us speechless. To top it all off, we enjoyed a delightful dining experience at L’ecrin, a charming French restaurant that cast a spell on us.
But our adventure wasn’t just about food. We explored the iconic landmarks that make Tokyo so captivating. Tokyo Station welcomed us with its vibrant energy, while Harajuku’s trendy streets offered a perfect blend of fashion and culture. We soaked in the tranquility and spirituality of Asakusa Sensoji Temple and treated ourselves to luxury shopping in the upscale district of Ginza. And the views! We climbed the Sky Tree and Tokyo Tower to witness the city from breathtaking heights.
