Built in the early 1980s by a financier and real estate developer, this 30,000 square foot mansion was modeled after a French chateau and has been said to rival any in France. But after his company began to fail and year of neglect to the home he sold the property in 2002.
The new owners were dedicated to restoring the property to its original grandeur. They assembled a team of an architect, a landscaping architect and designers to achieve this and they fully succeeded.
The property was then put up for sale in 2014 for $25 million, it did not sell and was put on the market again in 2017 with the price tag of $35 million. It was taken off the market then put back on in 2018 for $40 million dollars. It still did not sell and now it 2022 a demolition permit has been issued and it will be replaced with a new house.
