In History the Empire of France was known for its Grand Palaces, Military Prowess, and Earth-Shattering Revolutions. Today when people think of France it is mainly for its wines, cheeses and Labour strikes. To many, France seems to be just the perfect location for a European Holiday. The Empire is now more Renoir than Richelieu. As it fails to even meet its required NATO military expenditures, it seems like France shouldn’t get a seat at the Table of Great Power Politics. But is this it? Will the Once Great Empire of France be reduced to irrelevance or Secondary Power Status? Maybe, but the Sun King’s Empire is not down for the count. In this video I will make an argument for how and why France is still relevant and can return to Hegemony in the 21st Century.
