At Wineology, you’ll be able to savor iconic wines such as the Australian Hill of Grace and Grange, as well as renowned Italian and French labels like Sassicaia and Ornellaia.
To create the perfect ambiance, Wineology was determined to furnish their venue with elegant and upmarket furniture. We provided Wineology with our stylish and cozy Sorbet chairs and stools, accompanied by complementary tables that suit the sophisticated atmosphere of the venue.

We’re here at Wineology on Adelaide Street in Brisbane City. We’ve been around since December last year and we created the place so people in Brisbane had some where to come and enjoy some fine wine, matched with food. I wanted to call it onology, but all my friend said it was to wine nerdy, so it was only for wine nerds and no one would remember the name or be able to spell it or Google it.

So we stuck with Wineology. We use state of the art in enomatic machines. We have 96 wines that you can buy by the glass or just have a taste before you commit yourself to a full glass. So we’ve got a range of wines from around the world, white and red, from France, Italy, Chile, South Africa. It’s constantly changing.

We’ve had Grange here and Hill of Grace and some of the famous Australian wines for tasting. We’ve also had some famous French and Italian wines, so we’ve had Sassicaia and Ornellaia by the glass. So you can enjoy that with your food. Wineries love the concept, especially when their wines for tastings, so it just introduces a whole new crowd of people to their wines, especially some of the higher end wines that people might not normally go and buy a whole bottle of.

They can have a glass of it here and win a new fan over. We’ll always have at least one fully qualified sommelier here that can help people with their wine and food selections. But we found most people really just want to experiment and find the wine they like the most and to just trial and error is what people are mostly enjoying.

So yeah, we can always make some recommendations. We wanted it just to be comfortable a place where you can just come by yourself, potentially try a few wines, maybe sit on your laptop and do a little bit of work. So yeah, we’ve gone with all this sort of soft furnishings. We wanted the chairs were the key part of it just to be comfortable.

You know, we wanted people to be able to sit in them for 4 hours and not want to get up and not want to leave. So, yeah, that’s what we were looking for. We used Clui architects who I’d never worked with before, but they were brilliant. So they’ve got a lot of experience in this area and they sort of guided a lot of the decisions that we made and we’re really happy with how it turned out.

We wanted chairs that looked really classy, so and that just sort of fit in with a really nice upmarket vibe. But they had to be, comfort was the number was the key things that needed to be big and comfortable. And we didn’t want people to leave. We want them to drink as much wines as they as they feel comfortable doing.

So yeah, these have been perfect. Dealing with Nextrend was super easy, so the our interior design Rebecca Hunt took us to the the warehouse and they had the chairs that we wanted. We were able to test them out, saw how comfortable they were and just ordered them straight away. So it’s been hugely popular of an evening.

So it’s not so busy of lunch time yet. I think the lunch crowd haven’t really worked out that we are here yet, But of an evening, it’s always packed and we very, very busy. So it’s been successful.
