This is the most basic and classic French toast recipe that is easy to make and always delicious.
Ingredients:
4 slices of bread
2 eggs
1/4 cup of milk
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Butter or cooking spray
Instructions:
In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract together.
Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated.
Place the bread slices onto the pan or griddle and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Serve with your favorite toppings such as powdered sugar, maple syrup, or fresh berries.
Stuffed French Toast:
This is a more decadent and indulgent version of French toast that is filled with sweet cream cheese and fruit.
Ingredients:
4 slices of bread
4 oz of cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of sliced strawberries
2 eggs
1/4 cup of milk
Butter or cooking spray
Instructions:
In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture onto two slices of bread.
Top the cream cheese mixture with sliced strawberries and place the other two slices of bread on top to make two sandwiches.
