French Toast Series – Recipe #2 of 7
Banana Foster French Toast
This recipe below, makes 4 toast (2 servings).
French Toast
• 2 eggs
• 1/3 cup or less of heavy cream (or milk works too)
• 1 tsp or less of cinnamon (depending on your likings)
• 1 tbsp of sugar (or your desired amount)
• Vanilla extract is optional
Banana Foster
• 2-3 Bananas, sliced how you like it.
• 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar
• 2-3 shots of Bourbon or Rum (I used bourbon)
• 1/2 to 3/4 of a stick of sweet cream butter or unsalted butter
Cook this on medium heat.
When making the banana foster, you normally want to add in the bananas in before adding the bourbon or rum. Especially if you decide to flambé it. This is just how I like to make it.
You can also replace the liquor with heavy cream if you want a creamy caramel sauce.
