Nutella Stuffed French Toast with Macerated Strawberries Recipe

If you’re looking for a decadent breakfast or brunch recipe, look no further than this Nutella Stuffed French Toast with Macerated Strawberries! This recipe takes classic French toast and adds a rich and creamy Nutella filling, plus a fresh and tangy strawberry topping that’s been macerated in sugar and balsamic vinegar.

Ingredients:

8 slices of thick bread (such as brioche or challah)
4 large eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup Nutella
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Butter or oil, for cooking

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

Lay out the slices of bread on a flat surface. Spread Nutella on 4 of the slices of bread, leaving about a 1/2 inch border around the edges. Top with the remaining 4 slices of bread to make sandwiches.

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter or oil to the pan.

Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides. Allow excess egg mixture to drip off.

Place the sandwiches onto the skillet or griddle and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

In a small bowl, toss the sliced strawberries with sugar and balsamic vinegar. Set aside to macerate for at least 10 minutes.

To serve, top the Nutella Stuffed French Toast with the macerated strawberries and drizzle with any remaining juices from the bowl.

Enjoy this delicious and indulgent breakfast or brunch recipe with your loved ones!
