Welcome to The Wine Rookie channel! I was lucky enough to grab a couple of Diamond reserves from Trader Joe’s and I opened one up NOW to share with everyone online!
This Diamond Reserve is from the Pauillac region of Bordeaux in France, SCORE! With only 54 producers of wine, they’re known for bringing the world some of the most desired Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeaux blends. Even though I opened up this bottle up for everyone now, it has a lot of potential to age for a few more years! So pick a few up!
I got notes of black cherry, stewed plums, cassis, violets, and graphite. It was a medium bodied wine and was exceptionally smooth. With medium plus tannins that were soft and silky and a long finish with toasted caramel notes coming through to round everything out. This wine was incredibly easy to drink and enjoy!
