Catena Malbec is sourced and blended from the family´s high-altitude vineyards in Maipú, Lujan de Cuyo, Tupungato and San Carlos in Argentina. This wine is a deep violet color with purple reflections. Deep aromas of ripe red and dark fruits are joined by delicate violet and lavender notes, with traces of vanilla and mocha. A rich, concentrated mouthfeel is highlighted by flavors of blueberries and blackberries with a touch of leather and cinnamon. The wine has well-integrated tannins, bright acidity and a flinty minerality that provides exceptional length to the finish. Aged in French Oak (35% New) for 14 months before bottling. $19.99

Áster Crianza is made from 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo) from the vineyards surrounding the winery in Ribera del Duero, Spain. It was aged for 22 months in half French and half American oak. Intense crimson color with dark red rim and bright robe. Forest floor and black fruit notes stand out on the nose: blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry jam wrapped with mocha, confectionery and spices such as black pepper, licorice and clove on the background. Balanced, vibrant and fresh mouthfeel, with the characteristic fine, gentle tannins of these Ribera del Duero wines. The aftertaste is fresh and sinewy, nicely rounded with a very pleasant finish. Wines of Substance is the Washington State project of famed winemaker Charles Smith. The grapes come from Columbia Valley, Washington and the wine is aged in 50% new oak barrels for 11 months on the Lees. Classic from the get-go. Black cassis, pipe tobacco, and black cherry saturates the mouth. Followed by forest floor, dark plum, and pencil lead. Great density and a tremendous finesse-filled finish. $14.99
