Our wine of the month for April is this very easy drinking and utterly delicious Vermentino.
 
This racy, fresh wine is laden with citrus, lime and pink grapefruit flavours. Produced from vines situated between Cébazan and Argeliers in the Languedoc, the grapes are picked in the cool of the evening to maintain their freshness. Quintessentially a Mediterranean grape variety, Vermentino retains its acidity well and because it is relatively unknown, this high quality wine offers great value. Ideal to drink on its own or with simply cooked fish, salads and perfect with crab and prawns!
