Having fun exploring this vast world of wines: red, rose and whites. This particular bottle from Vignobles J. Mourat Chateau Marie Du Fou Rose from the Loire Valley (12.5%) is one of the most gorgeous we’ve seen. From the bottle design, label and color….it’s a stunner. Not an expensive wine, we paid $26 Canadian for it at our local Co-op Liquor store but it was a fun wine for sure. Tasting notes: primary notes of strawberry with lesser flavors of citrus, melon and floral qualities. Sweetness level is moderate with slight acidity. We gave this wine a 3.7-3.8/5 per Vivino standards and would buy again for the price. Not a game changer but a fun wine to enjoy chilled and this winery appears to be offering something fun without a big commercial name attached to them which means something!
