Filmed in 2015 in the 99203 zip. We were hit by a sudden, and extreme, windstorm that knocked down hundreds of trees–fallen onto powerlines, over roads and onto the rooftops of homes. Areas in our city were without power for nearly 3 months. To make matters worse, a cold snap happened simultaneously. Temperatures went from the mid 40’s to the low teens overnight. (Like, WTH nature!?) And when did this happen? Oh, three days before Thanksgiving Day….yay.
However, these folks were determined to keep their spirits thankful, and to remain well hydrated, with French wines. Sure, we tried to cancel the event, but they were not having it.
A HUGE THANK YOU to my friend, Eric Sloane, who educated our group with his personal knowledge and personal experience of the Burgundy region of France. I’m thankful for you, my friend.
