If you are like us, you can’t cook! As au pairs, we always struggled to find French recipes which were quick and easy to make but the quiche is a classic. Check out the recipe below!

You’ll Need:

1. Cheese/Fromage
2. Milk/Lait
3. Greek yoghurt/crème fraiche
4. Eggs/Oeufs
4. Onions/Oignons
5. Pie crust/Pâté feuilletée
6. Vegetables of your choice
7. Salt/Sel and Pepper/Poivre

(We know, we know, crème fraiche is very different to greek yoghurt but it turned out just as well in this quiche. Make sure you choose crème fraiche in France though.)

Step One:

Cut all of the vegetables
Coupez les légumes

Step Two:

Break three eggs in a separate bowl
Cassez trois oeufs

Step Three:

Add the Greek yoghurt, milk and a pinch of salt and the cheese
Ajoutez la crème fraiche, du lait, une pincee de sel et le fromage

Step Four:

Cook all the vegetables in a frying pan
Faite cuire les legumes dans une poêle

Step Five:

Put everything together in the pie dish
Mettez tous ensemble

Step Six:

Cook everything at 350 degrees Fahrenheit which translates to 180 degrees celsius – don’t forget this change! Your French oven will most definitely be in celsius and it will burn if you turn it all the way up.

Leave the quiche to cook for 15 to 30 minutes until it is golden brown on top and a knife comes out clean.

Voila! Bon appétit!
