Famed for his graphic depictions of luxury travel and gastronomic delights, French-Ukranian graphic designer A.M. Cassandre (1901–1968) became one of the most influential designers of the twentieth century.
One of his most lavish commissions was for the French wine distributor Nicolas. This striking poster captivates with its opulent glow and satisfyingly simple composition. An expert self promoter, Cassandre’s signature is visible in the bottom right hand corner of the composition.
