Disney Dream Cruise! December 2022, Interior Ship Tour! Join us as we explore the interior spaces onboard the beautiful Disney Dream!
We begin our tour on deck 3 at the lobby atrium. From the moment we step through the doors on embarkation day, we know our vacation has truly started once we hear the words, “Disney Dream, welcome aboard the Duke family!”. The atrium is a beautiful space where many events take place throughout the cruise from character greetings to live music and nightly photo ops. There are extra special touches in the decor from the hidden Mickey’s in the chandelier and aligning the elevators. The character decor is incredibly detailed and beautiful. Royal Palace, one of three main dining restaurants on the Dream, is just off the atrium. This Disney Princess themed restaurant offers French cuisine inspired menu items.
We head forward on deck 3 where Mickey’s Mainsail and Sea Treasures are located. Most of the shopping options on the Dream are in this area. Furthest forward is the Walt Disney Theater and just outside the theater is Preludes, a snack bar offering popcorn, drinks and snacks (all for a fee) at showtimes.
Deck 3 aft is home to Animator’s Palate. This is the second of the main dining restaurants onboard and some of our very favorite menu items are served here (black truffle pasta purseittes!). Heading directly up from deck 3 aft to deck 4 leads to the adult spaces in The District. There are lounges and bars as well as nightly entertainment for adults only in this section of the ship.
Deck 4 is also home to D Lounge where many family friendly cruise activities are held including crafts, gameshows and trivia. Shutters kiosks and Shutters studio are midship. We recommend purchasing the digital photo package prior to sailing for a discount. The kiosks have limited opening times but all photos taken throughout the cruise can be viewed during operating hours (times are posted at the desk). Pro tip: be sure to check before disembarkation to be certain all photos taken are linked to your account.
The Vista Cafe is on deck 4 and beverages are available for purchase. Pastry items are complimentary. Heading forward we pass the Buena Vista Theater as well as the second entrance to the Walt Disney Theater.
Deck 5 is home to the Youth Spaces including the Oceaneer’s Club and Lab as well as It’s A Small World Nursery. We have a separate vlog exploring those spaces so be sure to watch if you haven’t already! Bippity Boppity Boutique is also on deck 5. The Boutique is transformed into Pirate’s League on pirate night which was a cruise highlight for us on this sailing! A second entrance for the Buena Vista Theater is also located on this deck with a popcorn stand and movie snacks for purchase at showtimes.
Down on deck 2 the last of the main dining restaurants can be found. Enchanted Garden is a lovely restaurant with garden theming. The restaurant transforms from day to night with the flower light fixtures blooming over the course of the meal. The Vista Gallery features art along the wall that can be purchased at Sea Treasures. One of two Midship Detectives kiosks is here on deck 2 (the second is on deck 5).
Our final interior space onboard is deck 12 where adult dining restaurants Palo and Remy are located. Each requires a reservation and whether dining for brunch, dinner or the Remy Dessert experience there is an up-charge. These spaces offer amazing views with large windows and the restaurant decor is upscale. We recommend adult dining at least once when sailing.
We certainly hope you enjoyed the vlog as we enjoyed sharing the beautiful Disney Dream with you! Be sure to stay tuned for our next vlog where we explore the exterior spaces. Onward to our next adventure!
