O Holy Night
The song is usually called Adam’s Christmas song in Swedish after the author of the music Adolphe Adam. The original text was written by Placide Cappeau, a French wine merchant from the town of Roquemaure in 1843. He amused himself by writing poems and poems and had been invited by his parish priest to write a Christmas carol. He did so and took his newly written lyrics with him to Paris and asked Adam to write a melody to it.
