Double Diamond 2019 is Wine Spectator’s Wine of the Year for 2022. I thought it would be interested to do a compare/contrast tasting with another 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California. Double Diamond is from Oakville (Napa Valley) and Pedroncelli is from Dry Creek Valley (Sonoma County). Double Diamond is aged in French oak whereas Pedroncelli is aged in American oak.
I enjoyed both wines tremendously.
