Hong Kong Style French Toast usually is deep-fried. But I am only making it for myself and want to use less oil, so I baked it. The outcome is good but a little different from the actual french toast. I tried sprinkling some sugar on top of the bread to make it caramelize, but it didn’t make much difference. So skip that part if you are making it. Hong Kong Style French Toast is usually served with condensed milk (which is not available in my fridge *sigh*) so give that a try if it happens to be sitting in your fridge.
