Originally constructed in the 1700s, it was beautifully restored from top to bottom by its present owners. Windows were enlarged and French doors added to bring the warm Tuscan light inside. The beamed ceilings were preserved, as was much of the beautiful old stonework, but the old floor plan made way for larger rooms, a professionally-equipped kitchen and, most importantly, en suite or private bathrooms for each of the seven spacious air-conditioned bedrooms.
Dominating the ground floor is a long room divided by archways into living and dining areas with French doors opening to the large and well-maintained garden. The bedrooms, distributed over the two levels, are grouped around smaller air-conditioned sitting rooms on the first floor. The outdoors offers carefully kept garden with extensive lawns wrapping around the house.
