It’s the peak season for French apples! 🍏🍎🍏 Many varieties and many colors.
And the best way to cook them is always the classic apple pie✨, with a crispy puff pastry, and a caramel on top for even more sweetness.
A very simple recipe easy to make for both kids and adults. Reminds you of wonderful childhood memories, doesn’t it?

1️⃣Prepare the caramel sauce. Melt the sugar in a saucepan on a low heat without stirring. Add the half-salted butter and mix with a wooden spoon until the mixture thickens. Add the cream and stir constantly. Leave the caramel to cool. 
2️⃣Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).  Remove the apple cores and cut the apples into thin slices using a mandolin.
3️⃣Roll out the flaky pastry dough to a thickness of 3 mm (tenth of an inch) and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 
Evenly space the apple slices leaving a 1 cm (½ inch) gap around the sides. Sprinkle with caster sugar. 
4️⃣Then, bake for 15 minutes. 
Serve the tart warm with the salted butter
