Wine-Searcher’s Wine Director, David Allen MW, tastes a Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie Les Templiers from the Nantais region in France’s Loire Valley.
The wine is produced by the Vignerons du Pallet, a group of 10 winegrowers from around the village of Le Pallet, working together to produce high-quality wines that showcase the unique soils of this area in the Nantais.
The Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine appellation boasts seven complementary subregional titles, known as “crus”. These were established in 2011 Le Pallet is entitled to this designation; this wine however does not appear to claim cru status.
