The Classic Frenchie
6 slices Thomas’® Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread
2 eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp butter
whipped cream
sliced strawberries
powdered sugar
maple syrup
1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Coat each slice of Swirl Bread evenly in egg mixture.
2. Bring a skillet to medium heat and add 1 tbsp butter.
3. Add 2 slices of bread and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Repeat for remaining slices.
4. Add 3 slices to each plate and top with sliced strawberries, a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Serve with maple syrup.
