French Pot au Feu a Classic Winter Dish
One of my favorites for the cold days, full of flavors and proteins!
Ingredients for five persons;
1kg beef shin with bones, 1kg beef shank or lower rib, 3 to 4 leeks, 2 or 3 celery sticks, 15 small potatoes, 1 or 2 turnips, 8 to 10 large carrots, ¼ white cabbage (if you like), 1 onion, 4 garlic cloves, ½ glass of white wine, 4 cubes beef stock, ½ bunch of thyme, 4 to 5 bay leaves, 4 cloves, 1 nutmeg, 1 tsp black peppercorns, ½ tbsp coarse sea salt, 20gr butter, Salt and pepper to taste at the end
Serve with nice sharp Dijon mustard!
