Our Wine Director David Allen, Master of Wine tastes a wine from the leading estate in the Madiran region of Southwest France, Alan Brumont’s, Chateau Montus 2015.
Château Montus is something of a flagship for the Madiran appellation. Alan Brumont purchased the estate in 1980 and released his first vintage from the property 2 years later. The property is located in the Madiran heartland, near the foot of the Pyrenees, and the vineyards are shot through with large red pebbles.
