Pesmes is the only “plus beau village” de Haute-Saône and one of 3 in the région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

Situated only 47km East of Dijon this “plus beau village” sits out in wine and cheese country, just like Baume-les-Messieurs and Château Chalon.

A beautiful village year round, as it is slightly off the beaten track it never gets too busy with tourists here. To enjoy it at its fullest it is best to visit during the months of April through October as you will get to see it with leaves on the trees and flowers in the gardens.

The front face of the village which faces South is the iconic spot to view it from. As you can see the Kayaker in the l’Ognon river this is the area to soak in its best views.

Like all “Les plus beaux villages de France”, it possess its own unique style and is a classic historical French village that must be seen if you are in the region.
